With 50 current members and 85 alumni strong, APEX has served 90 non-profits, startups, and businesses both in Ann Arbor and nationwide. President's Welcome
Welcome!On behalf of the entirety of APEX Consulting, I’d like to thank you for your time and interest in learning more about who we are and what we do. While the start of the semester can often feel overwhelming, it’s also a time of enormous potential. It is my sincere hope that you are able to find a home here at APEX, like so many other talented and driven students before you.
So, who are we? Great question! On paper, we’re one of the University of Michigan’s premier consulting clubs, comprised of over 50 diverse members who hail from a variety of backgrounds and majors. But APEX is so much more than that. It’s a community of supportive and tight-knit members who are committed to growing one another both professionally and personally. Since our founding in 2012, we have made incredible progress as an organization, and this success can be directly attributed to the dedicated members of our organization.
But, what does APEX really do? Well, we specialize in providing high-quality, pro-bono consulting services to start-ups, local businesses, and nonprofits. Our uniquely entrepreneurial approach to addressing client needs enables us to make real impact and help grow our local business ecosystem. The projects we work on leverage the wealth of knowledge, insights, and resources our members have as top notch students at U of M to solve challenging client conundrums while also serving as a launchpad to propel our members’ development as future business leaders. No matter what you’re interested in, experience with consulting will endow critically important analytical and interpersonal skills to serve you well in the future.
Since joining freshman year, I can genuinely say that this organization has significantly impacted my college experience in the best way possible. Joining amidst a pandemic, APEX was the community to make this large campus feel a little smaller. Beyond that, it offered invaluable real-world experience and taught me the crucial soft and hard skills necessary to succeed in the workplace. Most importantly, APEX gave me a group of friends and role models who served as an inspiration to be the best version of myself. The relationships built here are ones I know will last a lifetime.
